The Project

Hello everyone.

About a week ago Kim brought home an old Electronics Australia (Magazine) designed inverter for me to have a look at.

I looked at it and decided that the technology was a bit old as it was built and designed in 1979. But it did give me the inspiration to commence my Inverter project which I have been procrastinating over now for many months.

I will use the transformer from this old unit for the basis of a 500 watt simple Inverter design. When I say simple I mean easily repairable from old electronic parts we may have lying around in the shed. The type of parts which may not be readily available in the future.

I have already sourced most of the parts and I will put some photos up soon in the main site.

I am home now for at least a week, so I am planning to build a prototype inverter and involve Shaun and Justin in the manufacture and testing this week.

I will put up the results etc and some pictures in the main site, stay tuned.

Again I have been very slow with this project, but have made some progress. I will put a test unit into place at Kim and Mauz's very soon.
