One of our new members Ron mentioned to me that Science has predicted that Intense Solar Activity will be present in the Universe some time around 2011. I did a little bit of research while doing nothing here in Melbourne

The evidence seems to suggest that our Sensitive Electronic equipment can easily be protected from Electron damage by a simple Faraday cage. The previous solar storm of 1958 apparently "took out" several satellites.
